DANA RIMBACK
DANA INTRODUCTION VIDEO COMING SOON
Dana Rimback has been a member of EMBC for 18 years. She grew up in New Jersey and lived in Philadelphia, PA and Atlanta, GA while in college, and then lived in Nashville before moving to Maryville 18 years ago.
Dana earned her A.A. from the Art Institute of Atlanta and her B.S. in Business from King University. She worked as a graphic designer in Nashville’s music industry for 13 years and then worked as a freelance graphic designer in Maryville while raising her son as a single parent. Currently she works for Clayton Homes managing their traditional home builders' paid media accounts. Dana has been involved in children’s ministry and outreach for the past 18 years both in Maryville and in Haiti. For the last 10 years, she has hosted weekly Bible studies in her home as a way to reach the lost and help new Christians get to know God through His Word. Currently she serves on the media team at EMBC. She is also the mural artist whose work can be seen in the pre-school and children’s worship areas of the church.
Dana feels called to serve as a counselor with the Lighthouse Counseling Ministry because she believes that God has a purpose for our suffering. He allows us to go through suffering and can use our pain for His glory (as Joseph explains in Genesis 50:20). Dana has seen the power of Christ work in her own life and would like to help those who are struggling with loss through death, divorce, or abuse, grief, anxiety, loneliness, depression, relationship issues, faith in Christ during difficult times, and single parenthood or singleness. Dana believes it is in Christ alone that our hope is found, no matter the circumstances we face. She prays that God will use her to help others through the storms they are facing.
In her free time, Dana can usually be found painting in acrylics, watercolor or oils. You can also find her working in her garden or on home projects. She enjoys baking, playing disc golf with her son and going for walks with her dog, Gus. One of Dana’s favorite verses is 2 Corinthians 5:17, ”Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new.” No matter what has happened in the past, the gift of salvation that Christ brings changes us into something new. We can trust that with Him, we can do all things. Philippians 4:13 states, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
